Hardt Hyperloop gets officially investedApril 15, 2019
InnoEnergy and Hardt Hyperloop officially signed the investment agreement on Friday 29 March 2019.
InnoEnergy is the innovation engine for sustainable energy across Europe supported by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology. They support and invest in innovation at every stage.
Hardt Hyperloop is a Dutch start-up, among many others, originated from Elon Musk’s competition.
The aim of this cooperation according to InnoEnergy’s interests is to enable convenient and sustainable high-speed transportation.
“We are very proud to be part of Hardt’s truly disruptive transport solution. With the massive challenge of the energy transition, Hardt is one of those solutions that can play a substantial role in reducing CO2 emissions in transport. InnoEnergy intends to fully leverage its ecosystem to reduce the time to market as well as reduce the risk of further developing the Hardt Hyperloop.” said Jacob Ruiter, CEO InnoEnergy Benelux
InnoEnergy invested €5 mln in Hardt Hyperloop. This investment is part of a bigger round of investments for which Hardt is seeking other parties to join.
“‘We’re delighted with the investment of five million euros in Hardt Hyperloop. InnoEnergy makes it clear through this investment that the development of the hyperloop has entered a new phase. It also highlights the importance and urgency of investing in the development of a cleaner and better alternative to long-haul transport. Hardt Hyperloop believes InnoEnergy’s pledge will encourage other investors to join this round of investments.” commented Tim Houter, CEO of Hardt Hyperloop.
Last year Hardt initiated a consortium with Royal BAM Group, Tata Steel and Royal IHC in April that focuses on the hyperloop’s technological development. With the addition of DB Engineering & Consulting, Continental and Engie Laborelec, the consortium is now a strong combination of key innovators from the industrial sector.
