Celebrate International Women’s Rights Day with EPFLoopMarch 8, 2019
International Women’s Day is celebrated on March 8th every year. It symbolizes the movement for women’s rights. It’s been constantly organized since 1909.
EPFLoop understands how important that day is, and prepared a special footage to give a credit to the women involved in the team’s mission.
On the 8th of March, we celebrate International Women’s Rights.
To this day, women still make up less than 15% of the workforce in engineering fields. This is why we asked a few engineers from the EPFLoop Team what message they would like to send to other women around the world. pic.twitter.com/pGe2Y01uTF

As mentioned, women are still a minority in the engineering fields but more than often their accomplishments are remarkable. They have a strong presence in the Hyperloop Industry and we hope more will follow in their footsteps. For instance, Rieneke van Noort is the current captain of the Delft Hyperloop Team and Anita Sengupta is a Senior Vice President of Virgin Hyperloop One. Hyped Hyperloop Team runs an interesting blog on women in their team.
All the best to all the women out there from the intheLOOP.news team.
